Nothing is more deceitful ... than the appearance of humility.

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.” Well I don't know about you but finding a man that fits Miss Austen description is harder and harder to find. I mean if you had a wealth of money, would you really want to share it? In fact if you were a man with a lot of money, to share it with a woman would be a grave misfortune, think of all the shopping she would do. Ones fortune would turn into a cornucopia of material possessions. I mean we all have a little material girl tendency. Perhaps what Miss Austen was thinking is that a man would feel more complete with a wife. That a house could become a home when decorated just right and when meals go from the microwave to an actual four course experience. So to all the MR Darcy’s out there and the MR Bingley’s wherever you are. I believe you have a duty to fulfill and perhaps a black card with my name on it.
